Can anyone point to a web site that sells/creates car show displays? I am not looking for anything big, spinning or electrical. I just need something I can put around the car that will not destract from the car but still keep folks an arms distance from the car.
Thanks

Are we talking World of Wheels ISCA material here? Nothing super fancy, but nice enough for a WOW show or two..
Look on ISCA's website under classifieds..ya might find bits and pieces to form a display, if ya dont find one completed already.

Build it! I used 2" PCV pipe with a T glued on the end for the rope to pass thu. They where held up with plates of steel that had a 2" outside dia. pipe (about 6" long) welded to them at a 45 degree angle. You park the car on the plates, then put on the pipes and string your rope. Quick, easy, and it can't fall over. And by the way,,,,,,it's CHEAP. Dave

If you are REALLY into the car show thing and keeping people away from your car, Claymore mines...strategicly placed works just as well. Razor coils are only effective with 200 or more volts through them.

You can always go with the classic buzz coil & 12 volt battery. Just make sure you are parked on a nice aluminum diamond plate flooring to show off the underneath side. You may not kep'em back at first BUT they usually learn quick!

aAfter looking around for a used display,I decided to build mine. I got lucky and found a fellow that sold his car and had kept the wheel display portion of his display.I take the tires off of one side, then there are two pieces of polished aluminum that bolt to the rotors to hold up the left side of the truck. There is also two stainless steel box's that set under the tires, that remain bolted on the other side. It gets the truck up about a foot off the floor. The carpet is a no brainer, just pick your color. For the stanchions,I bought large cardboard tubes that you get at Lowe's or Home Depot, that are sold for concrete forms. They are about 6 feet long, just cut them in two, mount a piece of thin plywood to one end for a bottom and I used a piece of thick cardboard for the top,to seal them off. Sand them down a wee bit,use a little filler primer, sand again and they are ready for whatever color paint you want to make them.I used aluminum tubing to go between them instead of chain, but use whatever you like. It would be pretty easy to wire lights in these as well.
