I purchased new mounts for my 41 but they are not as tall as the old squished ones also I need to replace the rubber mounts on the running boards and am wondering if hocky pucks could be used?

I gotta admit....thats the first I've ever heard of somebody using hockey pucks for something other than playing hockey with.

Creative! And it just might work.....only real concern would be body flex. Pucks aren't really that soft and giving.

I am at a loss as to what to do and trying to get by with the least expense, the pucks can be machined on a mill or lathe and I have used them on the 4x4 chassis. I ordered a set from Carpenter but they are at least an 1/8th inch shorter then the factory org. Hey thanks for the input and yup keep your stick on the ice we're all in this together.

I made mine from a combination of a thick rubber mub flap used on medium size trucks and conveyer belt material. Worked fine. Bought both from my local Tractor Supply store.

I like to use '56 Chevy body mounts (little rubber pucks ~3" x1). I happen to have had a large supply. HA! I bought some just last summer. Unfortunately they are NOT cheap, but look professional.

Living out by the ocean in Massachusetts, you get to be near a lot of comercial fishing suppliers. There's a company here that makes rubber discs from old truck tures. They are about 3 to 4 inches in dia. and theres a 1" hole in the middle. I usually get a small bag of them real cheap. Dave
