Night at theTrack

Well,
The day finally came, today, when I would finally got my car to the track. The 40 mile trek didn't phase it, as it cruised at 60mph and never going over 190deg. I got to the track, paid my dues and got prepared to run it down the strip. Finally, once prepared, I idled it into the lane and waited my turn. I was extremely nervous because I had never take a car down the 1/4 mile, let alone this car!! I did a nice little burn out and filled the car with smoke... nice one!! I staged the car, held the line lock and cut a .816 my first light. It took off straight and it felt really good until I missed 2nd and had to reclutch, finally in there, rowing thru 2nd and 3rd, when at about the 1000ft mark I felt a bog or something but it was still pulling. I make thru the light and to the timeslip guy and he ask "where's your helmet", I play naive. I ended up running a 13.7, which I was quite disappointed with. I figured to be in the 11's. I guess mis-shifting and breaking a belt would account for some of that.
Anyways, the broken belt ended my night at the track but made for an interesting 35mph drive back on Interstate 85!

I added an .mpg to my site of my commerative journey down the track.

Kewl site you've got there, Eric. I'm going back later when I 've got more time to check out the whole build up story. This is what I got when I clicked on your hypertext:

The page you wanted is taking a long lunch.
Actually, we couldn't find the page you requested. Please check the URL.

I clicked on your website on your profile and got to your homepage, then worked my way to the end. I copied the url, and it looks the same except for the http etc. Anyway, this will take the guys there, then scroll down.
