Studebaker oiling system

I have a 1952 Studebaker 233 engine that has a restrictor valve going to the canister oil filter. I put on a remote spin on filter and kept the valve, but of course have very little flow. Does anyone know if removing this valve will make my oil pressure drop too much? The return line goes in the oil filler neck, so obviously there is no back pressure there.

How much oil pressure does the engine carry,BEFORE that restrictor? Those engines never really had a full flow oil filter system to begin with, did they? I think they just kinda bypassed the MAIN system and filtered just a portion of the oil flow. Just my $.02
