Just stopped back in to pass on some sad news. Fred Palmer known here as Fred, passed away Sunday the 19th of Oct. He apparently had complications during heart surgery. He was a good neighbor and a great rodder. He will be missed.

Yup, Fred was a special person. As others said I only knew him here, but sure would've liked to meet him in person. He always had an answer for someone that was having trouble with a project and I learned some pretty cool things from his post. He surely will be missed. I also think the idea of a nice tribute of Fred and his rod would be very fitting for the Rod Of The Month. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, may he rest in peace. My condolence to Freds family and friends. While i only knew him through this board , i know he was the kind of guy that a player could easily meet out there and relate to right away. Just corresponded with him recently on our favorite subject, fuel altereds - very sad to read this now. POWER TO THE AXLE Fred , one last time.

i am shocked and saddened to hear this. Fred was a top bloke, and one of the few ppl from here whom i used to email. I just love his T roadster and I have wanted to build one very similar to his some day. Though i didnt have a lot to do with him, i was touched that he had the time to reply me and be such a cool guy. I will miss him.

Man, this hits hard. Fred was the first rodder to welcome me to the area when I moved here. He helped me get my coupe licensed the proper way and how to skirt all the crap at the DMV. Answered all of my local shop and people questions and threw some damn good humor in along the way.

Going for a long cruz later today for you Fred.
