If your wife says yes, GO FOR IT! The last '55 I bought was 19 years ago and I found that there were no parts left in the junk yards. You will have to buy everything from aftermarket. But they are great fun to work on ... you can reach everything! Good luck!

I went to a local car show yesterday afternoon that probably had close to 150 cars in it and not a bad one in the bunch!! I would bet that chasing around with my voting card, I crossed at least 20+ '55 of every model and to me, the hardtop is the best looking one...The winner of that class was a HT that was truly a top restoration and was the cream and turquoise variety with the 283 motor.. then there's the '56's and the '57's so it almost looked like a Chevy show..It was sponsered by a local Buick club that was 95% GN's and sparkled...I wasnt aware of it until some one told me about www.gasolinealleyshowcars.com and it had an extensive calender of events in the Dallas/Ft Worth area...AND swap meets too!!!!!! It also shows a few cars for sale...and parts..(they're early used parts Dick!!)
