hood cushioning materials..grommets/felt

I need to replace the grommets for the hood on the 35..you know the ones that run along the inside to keep the hood from rattling. I'm thinking of using that or switching over to the felt like tubing (that almost looks like fender welting) and running a length down both the front and back sides. Does anybody have any pros and cons to either one? I'm also looking for sources. Thanks guys!

I replaced mine with original, cost a lot and looks like crap. Next time it's Home Depot or one of the rubber supply places.

I used the small 1 inch black felt pucks that they sell at walmart for the bottom of chair legs for sliding chairs along a floor. They have an adhesive hi strengh glue backing and work real slick, easy on the paint to if they have to slid down the firewall at the bottom corners of the hood. They dont fall off either and dont look out of place.

Man is that an AWESOME catalog. Thanks for the responses guys! I think I'll go with the skinny grommets up front and the felt on the area around the back of the engine compartment...best of both worlds (maybe).
