Dos anyone know where you can buy add on hood louvers? I would like some metal or fiberglass panels with a half dozen or so louvers in it, to add to sidepanels on my rod.

Find some one local to punch the louvers into your panels. It`s far less work and cheaper too.

Thanks Ed. Good advice, but they're fiberglass side panels. I really want them to be functional to take away some of the 383 heat. Maybe I'll try the bone yard tomorrow and graft some of those cheesey louvers off of the 80's stuff.

So dare to be different. Do something else like vents length ways. Teardrop portholes or wake up the slammin he will probable have you put wheelchair spokes in there. Get a machine shop to cut you some aluminum or stainless slots. Be creative man. B-O-B********DSRA

How's about cutting vents in some oval shaped aluminum then riveting them in place...running lengthwise along the hood sides?? I think that'd get you some airflow and look pretty good too. You can paint it to match or (dare I say?) leave it to look like billet inserts.
