What do you guys think of the new hot rod show with Boyd in it. I watched it once I was pretty impressed but I thought it would be a more how to show kinda thing.
It's a "SHOW" in every sense of the word, right down to Boyd himself working on the cars! LMAO It ain't no reality show, thats for sure!

Please, keep restoring those cars to stock... So that someday my grandkids will still know what it feels like to cut one up and build a hot rod!

I worked along side BC at some of the Goodguys Shows and will tell you that I am NOT impressed with his personna. I also see that he has a "show" wife now too? Hmmm, I guess I just do not understand after 33 years of bliss with my bride! But, his design and fabrication skills are pretty good I think we will have to admit. So, that given, I like to look at the iron and the talent of the shop! And yes, Boyd never would be caught in the shop working unless the camera was there. You got it!
I watched the show myself and see that it's patterned after shows of the motorcycle and "monster garage" ilk. While I appreciate these people's talents for shaping and bending metal and that kid on "American Choppers" is really cool and talented, but the fighting, swearing and other BS that goes on just detracts from the show and mostly made up. One of the guys from AC made a comment in an interview at a bike show that they were running out of material for fighting and that the producers of the show write some of this stuff in? What the heck for...I enjoy the art form moreover. Same thing with Boyd here me thinks.
If you really want to see a great show and lot's of interesting and funny behaviour you should visit the John Force camp sometime I have been told. Need I say more.

Am I the only one that saw BC basically having a crew put together a fiberglass KIT CAR? Granted it was one of his designs BUT it was still a cookie cutter. I was not impressed. As far as personality he reminds me of a toad...enough said.

I dont think you mean to call it a TV show...I think it's more along the lines of a joke. I just hope these high flutin' big boys that are all about writing checks saw the REAL Boyd....
Ya dont see Jesse James flippin' his lid throwing a temper tantrum like a 2 year old do ya? I haven't..Hell, a buddy went out to his shop in CA and said he was one of the nicest biker/car guys one could ever meet. Never shunned you off like he didn't want to talk to you.
