After chomping at the bit ALL year, and looking forward to it like you cant believe (oddly enough, more than my 21st B-Day in May), Cumberlands a NO GO!! Dammit!!!! This makes the 3rd time since '86 that I've missed out. Reason? I was just informed last night that my friggin car insurance company (Shelby...some hole in the wall joint that was the only one at the time that'll insure a handicapped 21 yr. old in a $49K handicapped accessible vehicle) decided to pull outta MD last Fri. (high accident state or some BS..) and the new was supposed to kick in yesterday (Monday) A.M....we call...not ready!!!!!!! So I'm parked till NEXT Monday (Labor Day). Cant get temp. insurance either...they want all or nuthin'! Guess I gotta depend on pics, and video coverage if I can find any.

Guess I'll spend my Labor Day weekend on the boat drinking away...bottoms up!! lol

I think they'd hang up on me when I told 'em 21 years old - handicapped - $49,500 handicapped accessible van...the company I start with Monday wasn't gonna...but with enough poking, prodding and persuasion, I won 'em over...Only $3,800 a year for mine and pops daily driver P.U. (Mine alones close to if not over 3 G's..I'll know Monday.) Down from $5,200 per year (that, ladies and gentlemen would be $100 a week 52 weeks of the year...JUST MINE!!!) They stick it to ya for being handicapped with a high dollar vehicle, but it was needed, so we'll suck it up and pay. Coulda got a junker with a bazillion miles on it which wouldn't have been too much to insure..but from what I saw, I laughed in the old mans face and told 'em I'll be damned if i'm parkin' my tail end in anything that beat up and driving it. God I love this country! It's all about the almighty dollar..
