Doug Strong's 1965 Chevrolet Impala SSOwner
sirstude
Description
I had one of these in High school (obviously a long time ago) and have wanted one since.
1965 Impala Ss 396 that I found in a junk yard. The only straight panel on the car was the left front fender extension. I converted from a powerglide to a 4 speed, installed front disk brakes, Crane cam, Weiand Stealth intake, Hooker headers, Holley 750 Street Avenger, Accel wires/super coil/distributor, Halibrand 5 spokes, Flowmasters and big pipes. The picture is a little darker than the car really is. I tried to keep the car as I would have done it in 1970/71 when I had my first Impala. The only concession is the CD player instead of an 8 track. I like my tunes. Still comming is air and (I hope) a 427 5 speed combo.
Changed a few things this this summer.
I bought a 502/502 crate motor and the Richmond 5 speed I wanted. I have never had anything that runs this good in my life!
This is my ride, and I'd like to edit it.
