My first car, My school car. I bought this when I was 13 for $900. I replaced the trunk floor (used a doner 70 chevelle that was hit in the front), blasted the underside and painted it gloss black. I replaced the orig. 250 / powerglide with a 350 / turbo350. That setup worked well for three years. I Recently purchased a built 454 and turbo 400 to install in the Chevelle. Still trying to decide if I should make the car a SS clone or keep the 250 emblems on the side. The car is currently tore down- every last piece is off of it. I have cut out and replaced all rusted floor pans. I also have rockers, quarters, doors and fenders to put on the car. I have-re sandblasted the underside- and top side- getting it ready for paint. The frame is off and I am going to tare it down soon, balst it paint it and re-asemble with new parts. I hope to have this car back on the frame at the end of may; I'm sure it wont be painted yet- but it will be close.
I recently purchased three more chevelles, including an SS. The SS is nearly rust free, one small spot on the rear floor pan. I also got a 68 that has around 50k. As soon as my red 69 is done- the 68 will go in for a makeover- nothing real fancy, just some undercoating and a paint job.
